Lecture 1: High Risk CT Imaging Features in Lung Cancer Screening

I did this lecture in December 2020.

The high risk features that I describe are these

  • Size at first instance (> 8 mm – 4A, > 15 mm – 4B)
  • Growth on follow-up (< 8 mm – 4A, > 8 mm – 4B)
  • New lesion on follow-up (6-8 mm – 4A, > 8 mm – 4B)
  • Associated findings that are worrisome (spiculation, pleural tag, notch sign, bubble lucencies)

These allow us to pick up Lung-RADS 4A and 4B lesions that need to then go for biopsy or excision.
